The NCNGRR Museum is located at 5 Kidder Court in Nevada City. (Both Bost Ave and New Mohawk meet at the intersection with Kidder Court.)
Admission is Free. Donations are always appreciated.
Museum Hours: There is no charge for Admission. Donations are always appreciated.
Sundays – 10:00am to 4:00pm (Gift Shop open)
Mondays – 10:00am to 2:00pm (Gift Shop closed)
Tuesday – 10:00am to 2:00pm (Gift Shop closed)
Wednesdays – Museum Closed
Thursdays – Museum Closed
Fridays – 10:00am to 2:00pm (Gift Shop closed)
Saturdays: 10:00am to 4:00pm (Gift Shop open)
Restoration Shop:
Open for tours on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Saturdays from 10:00am to 2:00pm.
Closed Holidays:
New Years Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Christmas Day
Railbus Rides:
The Railbus operates each Saturday, weather permitting. Reservations are required, please call 530-470-0902.
Steam-Up Sunday:
Steam operations are open to the public on the second Sunday of each month, May through October, weather permitting. Open seating. Reservations are not required.
Groups
School and Group tours are available by appointment on Mondays or Tuesdays. Please call 530-470-0902 for information.
Birthday Party in the Caboose
Birthday parties for children ages 10 and under are celebrated in our Caboose #1. Please call 530-470-0902 for information.
