SIERRA NARROW GAUGE CONFERENCE
June 18-21, 2013

The four day conference will cover a wide range of topics from the Narrow Gauge era.  Discussions will include locomotive and rolling stock restoration; railroad history; and modeling narrow gauge operations.  Presentations will run 30-60 minutes.

NOTE 1
 – Attendees are invited to bring photographs, artifacts, and other NG railroad related items to share with others during this session. This may be the time to ask questions about your items.
- Book Signing.  Two new books will be available at the conference relating to the Empire City Railway and Towle Brothers and both authors will be present with copies.

NOTE 2
 - The current plan is to run an authentic Westside Lumber train led by fully restored WSLC Plymouth # 1 as well as enjoy some switching in the yard area. There may also be a surprise or two for attendees.
- PLEASE OBSERVE ALL SAFETY PRACTICES WHEN OBSERVING AND PHOTOGRAPHING THE TRAIN MOVEMENTS.

NOTE 3
- Restoration BBQ - $10.00 per person. All proceeds go toward the restoration of NG equipment at the Museum. Tickets will be on sale during the conference for those that have not already paid in advance. The SPNG Historical Society has graciously donated toward the cost of the food.

NOTE 4
- Please take the opportunity to visit the NCNGRR Museum Gift Shop with its large selection of Railroad related items and other fun things.  The Gift Shop will be open each day for attendees.
- Layout tour – Gordon Briggs of Grass Valley has offered to open his doors so attendees may visit his O scale railroad depicting the SP which also includes the On3 Logging Line Timber Creek Railroad.  Directions will be provided at the conference.
- Layout tour – John  Bridges has offered his layout for Conference visitors.  The ON3 latout depicts the 1960 Rio Grande Matterhorn extension from Ridgeway and the O scale 1960 Rio Grande Eagle River Canyon.  The display includes Colorado big rock with fall color, and PFM / PBL sound.  The scenes include 40 structures with steam loco facilities, 5 gold mines, complete mill complex, coal mine.  There is also a 18" gauge mine display on the property.  Directions will be provided at the conference.
